What to do when you finish your lash training course
When you finish your lash training course, it can be a little bit confusing as to what you need to do before you can start lashing so this is everything we recommend you do when you have finished your eyelash extension training course.
-Choose your eyelash extension business name to do this you could use a random name generator or you could just mind map a few different names that you like and choose your favourite! It’s a good idea to check that this name hasn’t already been trademarked on the GOV website!
-Create your Instagram page and your Facebook page. It is also a good idea to create a TikTok account as well. You can use all of these social media platforms to advertise your eyelash extension business.
-Next. We recommend creating a Google business profile. If you have created a Google business profile when someone in your area searches for an eyelash extension technician, your profile will come up.
-Next. We recommend that you register as self-employed on the GOV website.
-Next you will need to purchase insurance for your eyelash extension business. We recommend using a ABT Insurance or you could search for other beauty, business insurance companies on google.
-Next. We recommend finding an accountant for your business. You will be able to do this part yourself but it can get confusing so we recommend getting an accountant to help.
-Next you can create a logo for your business on Canva, or you could purchase a premade one on Etsy, or you could contact a graphic designer to create a logo for your eyelash extension business.
-Next. We recommend creating business cards for your Lash business, so you are able to hand them out to people to help promote your business. You could create these on Canva yourself, or you could find a template on Etsy or ask a graphic designer to create one for you.
-You can also create loyalty cards for your business. You could create these on Canva, or you could find a template on Etsy. Or ask a graphic designer to create one for you.
-Now we recommend creating your eyelash extension business policies so that you’re able to protect your Lash business. We recommend sending these to your clients when they want to book an appointment so they are aware of your Lash business policies.
-Next up, we recommend creating a consultation sheet. You could create one yourself, or you could find a template on Google or on Etsy.
-Next up, we recommend setting up a booking system. We would recommend either fresha or timely. Here at Lash Huns. We personally think having an online booking system is a better option compared to having a paper diary so that your clients are able to book themselves saying this is going to save you on time doing admin and replying to your clients.
-Next. We would recommend following lots of other Lash artists on Instagram so that you are able to support each other. It is a really good idea to network with other Lash artists so that if you ever need help you can ask them here at Lash Huns we have a free lash artist group chat that you are able to join. If you would like to inside here, you can ask for help and chat to other Lash techs! To join this group, Simply had to the lash tech support group, blog post on this website, and that will show you instructions on how you can join!
