Tape vs gel pads
Trying to decide what products to use can sometimes be super confusing when there are so many options out there! So in this blog we're going to go through the positives and negatives of using either tape or under eye pads to tape down the bottom lashes at the start of an eyelash extensions treatment.
A lot of Lash Techs do opt for using the under eye gel pads to tape down the bottom lashes, however sometimes these can cause issues throughout the treatment. Although under eye gel pads are a cheaper option to opt for, most of the time aren't very sticky at all, and can become loose and move during the treatment! As a result of this the pads can sometimes move up into your clients eye and actually touch and irritate your clients eye balls! This can then cause redness on the bottom part of your clients eyeball. If this does happen we would recommend to your client to seek medical attention.
However here at Lash huns we prefer using Lash Huns sensitive tape to tape down the bottom lashes! Although this tape is slightly pricer than most under eye gel pads, this tape is sticker than most under eye gel pads which means it is much less likely to move around during the treatment! However if your client has oily skin or is wearing makeup on their under eye area this can sometimes effect how well the tape sticks, so make sure to clean the under eye area with Lash Huns Bubble Babe lash shampoo before apply tape! This tape is also very gentle on your clients under eye area when peeling it off at the end of the treatment!
Lash Huns sensitive tape comes in 2 different sizes and colours, from only £3.99! Simply search for "sensitive tape" on this website and try it out for yourself sis!
