Opening your own lash salon

Opening your own lash salon

You may have decided you want to open your own lash salon but have no idea where to start! So during this blog our CEO will be explaining her journey of opening Lash Huns salon!

I would always recommend either working from home until you have built up a strong loyal client base or renting space in someone else’s salon while you build your client base before you go ahead and open your own salon!

Firstly you need to decide which area you’d like your salon to be in! I would recommend within a 15 minute drive of where you currently offer appointments, this is so your clients don’t have to travel too much further once you move into your salon!

Next you need to decide on a budget and how big you’d like the shop to be! How many other lash artists or nail artists or hair dressers would you like working within the shop along side you?

Would you like to rent the shop or would you like to purchase it?

I personally rent my first 2 salons!

To search for a premises I used Rightmove and Zoopla!

Once I found a potential salon for my lash business I went to view it! I viewed multiple shops before deciding which I’d like for my beauty salon!

Once I got the keys I decorated all pretty and pink and advertised space for self employed lash artists to work within the salon!
You can either hire staff and employ them or have self employed lash artists within your salon that pay you a set day rate for rent!

For the rent you can either do a set day rate or you can do a percentage basis! Here at Lash Huns I chose to do a set date rate as it’s a lot easier to work out!
