Meet Lash Huns CEO, Hollie
Hey Huns! It's Hollie here, Lash Huns Founder & CEO, let's get to know each other a little more!
Let's go right back to the beginning of my career when I took my first ever lash course! I trained when I had only just turned 18, in October 2018! Never did I think it would take me to where I am today and the future I can see for Lash Huns!
After completing my training courses in Classic, Hybrid & Russian Volume Eyelash Extensions I started offering services to clients straight away! I worked from my parents dining room for 3 years! At the start of my lashing career I was still in Worcester college studying Level 2 Beauty Therapy, I loved doing beauty and meeting new clients so I knew straight away I wasn't going to give up lashing and I wanted to give it all my effort!
Once I finished college I continued to lash my clients, advertising my business on social media, trying to fit in as many clients as I could! After training in Russian Volume I really struggled creating handmade Russian Volume fans, so during this time I used pro made fans. This is 1 reason why I really wanted to launch Lash Huns pro made fans, because that's all I used at one point in my lash career so I wanted to give other Lash Techs that option too!
I soon became fully booked with clients until covid hit and we were all forced to lockdown. However there was no way I was going to let this ruin my business, I spent this time perfecting handmade Russian Volume fans, so that when I went back to work I could create the best work possible for my lovely clients!
Once we could go back to work I quickly became fully booked again which I was so grateful for! I then started playing around with more advanced lashing techniques and developed my signature wispy technique! Which so many clients fell in love with! I then developed online masterclasses to help other Lash Techs around the world create beautiful wispy lash sets for their clients too!
While we were in lockdown I also took the time to complete my Level 3 Award in Education and Training which meant I could then go onto teach students to become a Lash Tech from scratch! This course was super challenging but so worth it in the end! I quickly developed my lash training courses after this and launched then!
TikTok really helped to blow my lash training courses up and they became fully booked very fast! At this point I was still working from my parents dining room so I could only teach on a 1-1 basis! I knew at this point it was time for me to open my own Salon!
I started viewing multiple salons before I found the one that was right for me! I absolutely fell in love with it and knew it was perfect! Once I had decorated the salon lovely and pink it was time to open! I launched group training courses of up to 4 people and soon enough they were all fully booked which was incredible! I absolutely love teaching students and helping them build their own lash careers however now I only teach online courses so i'm able to help more people start their own business!
Finally in December 2022 I launched Lash Huns product line for professional Lash Techs to use on their clients! I always wanted to do this and I knew it was the right time! Supplying the highest quality products to Lash Techs all over the UK is now my favourite part of my business, seeing my lovely customers reviews daily makes me feel so grateful of all the support I get!
I cannot wait to see where Lash Huns is in the next few years and thank you so much to everyone for all of the support always!
